OnePlus 5T has a nifty feature which is Face Unlock, which lets you bypass the lock screen by just pointing the phone at your mug and pressing the power button. So, now OnePlus 5 owners will get this feature in latest Android 8.0 Oreo beta.

According to some reports, OnePlus 5’s Face Unlock will behave in the same was as the OnePlus 5T did. You can either add face data during setup or within settings if you choose to add the data later. Once Face Unlock is enabled, you can choose to unlock the OnePlus 5 with your face as soon as the screen turns on without swiping first.

Good thing is that, there is no special hardware at work, since it relies entirely on software only. As Unlock’s dependence on software, it warns the users it is less secure than the fingerprint sensor. Here are some features of OnePlus 5.
