VEON App Tops Play Store Ranking & Stood No. 2 on iOS. The Global telecom operator VEON in collaboration with its subsidiary in Pakistan Jazz, has officially launched VEON Application in Pakistan. Earlier, VEON announced that it has plans to reinvent and expand itself as a technology company by introducing its own messaging and mobile services app in four new markets including Pakistan and Russia. So this launch of VEON App is in continuation with that announcement.

VEON became the number one most downloaded app on Play Store in the category of top free apps . It also topped play store in the communication category. On iOS, VEON stood second followed by WhatsApp. This ranking clearly shows that VEON is giving a very tough competition to its competitors.

VEON , a messaging App designed to compete with the other players like WhatsApp, Viber, WeChat etc. that are currently offering free services to its users by using mobile network’s data or WiFi and are Over-the-Top (OTTs) services.

VEON aims to offer basic communication for free, while taking a cut of proceeds from partnerships with popular internet services it offers through its app, using data insights it can glean as a network operator.
