VEON Officially Launches its Messaging App in Pakistan

The Global telecom operator VEON in collaboration with its subsidiary in Pakistan Jazz, has officially launched VEON Application in Pakistan. VEON Officially Launches its Messaging App in Pakistan. Earlier, VEON announced that it has plans to reinvent and expand itself as a technology company by introducing its own messaging and mobile services app in four new markets including Pakistan and Russia. So this launch of VEON App is in continuation with that announcement.

VEON is a messaging App designed to compete with the other players like WhatsApp, Viber, WeChat etc. that are currently offering free services to its users by using mobile network’s data or WiFi and are Over-the-Top (OTTs) services.

VEON Officially Launches its Messaging App in Pakistan

The launch event is held today in Lahore.

With this App, just like other OTTs, users can connect to their friends and family by messaging or calls. Additionally, VEON App will offer free music and other stuff to its users on daily basis.

VEON aims to offer basic communication for free, while taking a cut of proceeds from partnerships with popular internet services it offers through its app, using data insights it can glean as a network operator.
