vivo X500 Camera Details Confirmed Ahead of Launch; Expected Price & Release Timeline in Pakistan

vivo is preparing to expand its flagship smartphone lineup with the upcoming vivo X500 series, and the company has now officially revealed key camera specifications for the standard X500 ahead of its expected China launch this month.

The series is expected to include the vivo X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max, with vivo gradually disclosing specifications as the launch approaches. The latest details suggest the standard X500 will carry significantly more capable camera hardware than a typical base flagship.

According to vivo, the X500 will feature a 50MP Sony LYT-828 primary sensor measuring 1/1.28 inches. The same sensor is used in the current vivo X300 Pro, indicating that the company is bringing premium imaging hardware to the standard model rather than reserving it entirely for the Pro variants.

The main camera will also feature ZEISS gimbal-level stabilization and carry a CIPA 5.5 professional stabilization rating, which should help improve handheld photography, low-light shooting, and video stability.

For zoom photography, the vivo X500 will use a 64MP Sony LYT-610 telephoto sensor, the same sensor confirmed for the X500 Pro. The telephoto camera will also receive a CIPA 5.5 stabilization rating and support 4K slow-motion video recording at 120 fps.

The device is additionally confirmed to support a 200 mm teleconverter, potentially giving users significantly greater reach for distant subjects, portraits, and travel photography.

Reports also suggest that the X500 could feature a 50MP ultrawide camera, alongside a 6.37-inch display and a 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000-series chipset, although vivo has yet to officially confirm these specifications.

vivo X500 Expected Price in Pakistan

vivo has not announced official Pakistani pricing for the X500 series, and any figure circulating at this stage should therefore be treated as an estimate.

The previous vivo X300 Pro launched in Pakistan at around Rs. 349,999, providing some indication of how vivo positions its premium X-series devices locally. The standard X500, however, is expected to sit below the Pro variants and could therefore arrive at a considerably lower price point.

Based on its expected positioning and current unofficial estimates, the vivo X500 could be priced somewhere between Rs. 170,000 and Rs. 220,000 in Pakistan, depending on the storage configuration, taxes, and exchange-rate conditions at the time of launch.

The X500 Pro and Pro Max, if introduced locally, would likely command significantly higher prices.

Pricing could also vary depending on whether vivo launches the devices officially through its Pakistani distribution network or whether initial units reach the market through unofficial import channels.

vivo X500 Pakistan Release Timeline

The vivo X500 series is scheduled to debut in China during September 2026, but vivo has not yet confirmed an international or Pakistani launch date.

Pakistan typically receives selected X-series models after their initial Chinese or global release rather than simultaneously. If vivo follows a similar rollout strategy this year, the X500 could reach Pakistan towards the end of 2026 or during the opening months of 2027.

A local launch would also depend on which X500 variants vivo chooses to introduce. The company may bring only selected models from the lineup rather than the entire X500 family.

For Pakistani buyers, the standard X500 could be particularly interesting if vivo maintains its premium camera hardware while keeping the price below the Pro models. The combination of a 50MP Sony flagship sensor, ZEISS stabilization, 64MP telephoto camera and 200mm teleconverter support could make it one of the strongest camera-focused options in its segment.

For now, the China launch will provide the clearest picture of the X500’s complete specifications, pricing and configurations, after which more concrete details about its global and Pakistani availability are expected to emerge.
