vivo Y31s 5G Reintroduced With Bigger Battery; Expected Price and Launch Timeline in Pakistan

vivo has reintroduced the Y31s 5G with a refreshed design, upgraded hardware, and a significantly larger battery, marking the return of a model name first seen in 2021. The new version has now debuted in Malaysia, and its arrival could point towards a wider rollout across Asian markets, including Pakistan.

The latest vivo Y31s 5G appears to be aimed at users who want a large battery, 5G connectivity, a smooth display, and stronger durability in a lower mid-range package.

vivo Y31s 5G Returns With a New Design

The new vivo Y31s 5G brings a more modern look compared to the older model. It features a vertical rear camera module with two lenses and a halo-style LED ring. The back panel also has subtle curves around the edges, giving the phone a cleaner and more premium feel.

The design follows vivo’s recent Y-series styling, and the overall finish makes the handset look more refined than its previous generation.

vivo has equipped the Y31s 5G with a 6.72-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which should improve scrolling, animations, and overall screen responsiveness. It also offers up to 1,050 nits of brightness in high-brightness mode, making it more suitable for outdoor use.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset. Built on a 4nm process, the processor is designed to offer better efficiency and entry-level 5G performance. It should be suitable for daily use, including browsing, social media, video streaming, and light gaming.

The Malaysian model comes with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage. Depending on the market, the phone is expected to run OriginOS 6, based on Android 16.

The biggest upgrade on the vivo Y31s 5G is its 6500mAh battery. This larger battery gives the device a strong selling point, especially for users who prefer long backup for travel, work, entertainment, and regular daily use.

The phone also supports 44W fast charging, which should help reduce charging time despite the bigger battery capacity.

For photography, the vivo Y31s 5G offers a dual rear camera setup led by a 50MP main camera, paired with a 2MP secondary sensor. On the front, it carries a 32MP selfie camera for selfies and video calls.

vivo has also added notable durability features. The phone comes with IP68 and IP69 protection, making it resistant to dust and water exposure. It has also received a 5-star SGS drop resistance rating, which may appeal to users looking for a tougher everyday smartphone.

Expected Price and Launch Timeline in Pakistan

The vivo Y31s 5G has launched in Malaysia at MYR 1,199 for the 6GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. Based on direct conversion, this is roughly around PKR 82,000.

However, the official price in Pakistan may differ due to taxes, import costs, currency exchange rates, and vivo’s local pricing strategy. If launched in Pakistan, the vivo Y31s 5G could be priced in the range of PKR 85,000 to PKR 90,000.

vivo has not officially confirmed the Pakistan launch date yet. However, since the phone has entered Malaysia and is expected to expand across more Asian markets, a Pakistan launch may follow in the next month.
