Warid Backs Off Statement that it will Offer 4G LTE
Warid has official launched LTE services in Pakistan, starting from 26th December, 2014, offering its customers to enjoy 7 days of free customer trials of LTE services in Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Faisalabad and Gujranwala.
If I am not wrong, Warid launched LTE service and not so long ago, the company created a big hype by claiming to become the 4G LTE operator of Pakistan, but it launched the services under the LTE’s umbrella.
Notably, Warid has also changed the logo from 4G to LTE service and interestingly the company didn’t use the word ‘4G’ in its entire website. The broadband speed of the spectrum that Warid owns right now cannot be compared with 3G even on a loaded network. So there is a possibility that after testing the service, the company had realized that they won’t be able to give quality 4G service to its customers, so they decided to stick to the LTE.
So the bottom line is that technically, Warid is yet offers a true 4G experience for consumers and the title still remains with ‘Zong’, the first and the only 4G operator of Pakistan not with Warid Telecom.
