Whatsapp is working on many new features to engage its users. Recently, we have come to know that WhatsApp Advanced Search Feature is under testing. The new feature will allow the users to perform a refined search.

WhatsApp Advanced Search Feature Will Soon Make Its Way To The Users

According to WaBetaInfo, the social messaging App, WhatsApp is working on the Advanced Search Feature. The new Advanced Search will allow you to search between all the photos, GIFs, docs, videos, audio and links exchanged on the particular chat platform. According to the latest reports, the feature will also have your Search history. However, you will be able to delete it using the Clear button.

The Advanced Search feature will apparently improve the chat search function in the app. We all know that the normal search in WhatsApp helps you find a specific word within long wordy chats. However, the Advanced Search will allow you to perform a more refined search. For example- if you will select audio, WhatsApp will show all the messages that contain an audio message. On the other hand, if you will search for photos, you will be shown all the chats that have photos and so on….

In addition to that, the much-awaited WhatsApp Group Invitation Feature is also rolling out to the Android Beta Users. It allows them to decide who can add them to a group.  WhatsApp has a “Groups” option inside Settings which can be used to manage the privacy settings for WhatsApp groups. In order to activate the feature, you will have to follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap Account
  • Press Privacy
  • Head to Groups
  • Who can add me to groups? The user will be shown three options- Everyone, My contacts, and Nobody
  • Select one

WhatsApp always keeps adding new features on a regular basis just to keep users entertained and engaged to the instant messaging app. Let’s see what new WhatsApp offers in the coming days.
