Only the beta users can avail this update. All Android users have to wait a little bit to enjoy this feature. The company has called it “Change Number feature”.

WhatsApp is now giving more choice to the users. Now they can decide whether to notify all its WhatsApp contact list or to specific people if they change their number.

To send the notification, WhatsApp beta members should go to WhatsApp Settings > Account > Change number. In the top-right corner, users will see “Next.” The subscriber taps on it, types in the old and new phone numbers, clicks on “Next” again and enables the Notify my contacts option. The user will then have to choose from all contacts, contacts that you’ve chats with, or custom.

WhatsApp has confirmed when this feature will be available to all Android users. But we hope that soon it will be available to all.
