WhatsApp Disables the App Store Shortcut for Stickers
Recently, WhatsApp Stickers have rolled out to iOS and Android but iPhones are getting some issues due to these stickers. In other messaging apps users download stickers directly from the apps but WhatsApp users can’t download them directly. Users have to download stickers from separate sticker pack apps. To make this process easier, WhatsApp added a link to the App Store. That helped in bringing up multiple sticker apps for users but now in a recent server-side update, WhatsApp Disables the App Store Shortcut for Stickers.
WhatsApp Disables the App Store Shortcut for Stickers
There were chances that App store would become more famous with different stocker apps if WhatsApp kept continuing with its ongoing sticker pack download method. However, now a quick search in the App Store for WhatsApp sticker packs will give you few options.
According to WhatsApp-related blog on WABetaInfo, currently, the shortcut has been disabled on the app for iOS. We don’t know that until when the feature will remain disabled and it is also not clear that what is the proper reason behind it.
Last month, Apple cut out all the apps using the same UI as WhatsApp just to remove the app’s posing to be the WhatsApp sticker apps on the App Store.
