For iOS users, WhatsApp has released a beta update that enabled audio playback feature in notifications for a few users. The company was testing the feature since a while, and now finally it has appeared in iOS beta 22.214.171.124 beta version from TestFlight.
It seems that the audio playback will be working for voice playback and also for audio files. The feature was first spotted by tracker WABetaInfo and reported that presently only a few beta users are getting this feature.
WhatsApp For iOS to Get Audio Playback Feature in Notifications
In order to test the audio playback feature, users need to be on the latest WhatsApp 126.96.36.199 iOS beta from TestFlight. To run the updated app for the testing purpose, you need to ask a friend to send an audio file or voice message.
Now try to play it in your iPhone notifications in order to check whether this feature is available on your device or not. According to WABetaInfo, that only a few users have got the feature enabled for now, however, more users will soon get to enjoy it when the company complete the testing and decides to expand the test. The tracker reported that WhatsApp Business beta for iOS 188.8.131.52 is also eligible to remotely receive the feature.
It has been reported by WABetaInfo that if the users have already updated to the most recent version but still unable to see the feature on their iOS device then try to reinstall the app after backing up chat history.
