WhatsApp from Facebook Tag Added to Latest Beta Version

A few weeks back, WhatsApp announced that it is rebranding it baby companies, WhatsApp and Instagram with its own name. It was revealed that “From Facebook” tag will be given after the name of both the apps to show that these platforms belong to Facebook. After two weeks, we have come across “WhatsApp From Facebook” tag in the latest beta version of the app.

One can see this tag under WhatsApp settings, and it shows that Facebook is trying to tell the world who is the parent of both brands. From a long time, Facebook has kept all its app separate, although it shared it wish to launch a unified app.

Facebook had purchased WhatsApp in the year 2014 however till now it has not boosted its own name with the messaging app. The workers from both organisations were already informed about this decision. When asked about this change, the company said that Facebook wants to be remembered for all the services it offers.

According to tech journalists, this step is taken due to the current declining situation of Facebook. The new beta update fo WhatsApp has also come with fingerprint authentication feature. It was much needed and will make our WhatsApp a safer place to chat with loved ones.
