Now WhatsApp users can post images or videos as their status.

Earlier users can update their status by using emojis or text. More that status lasts as long as users want. However, with this new feature, users can post images or videos as status and that status will remain for 24 hours. After that it will be deleted automatically. Moreover, users can also change 6 ephemeral status in a day.
Just like Instagram and Snapchat Stories, you will just have to click the profile pictures of your friends, which usually appear in round circles in the contact list, to see what they’ve posted.
This feature will be available for iOS users first. Android users have to wait a little bit to get this feature.

This feature was first introduced in Snapchat that Instagram copy this feature. More than 150 million Instagram users have used ephemeral stories feature since last year.
Not only WhatsApp, its owned company, Facebook, is also testing the same feature. Soon we will get the same feature on Facebook, just above the news feed option.
