Users can manage their group tag directly from the group information screen. By tapping their name within the group details, they can enter a short description and preview how it will appear next to their messages and in the members list before saving it.

The input field supports plain text only and follows a defined character limit. Decorative symbols, links, or special formatting are not allowed, keeping tags simple, readable, and focused on providing quick context rather than serving as nicknames or promotional text.

Once saved, the tag becomes immediately visible to all group members, including new participants who join later. This helps newcomers quickly understand how the group is structured and who to approach for specific questions or tasks.

Flexible, Group-Specific, and Easy to Update

One of the most practical aspects of the group member tag feature is its flexibility. Users can update or change their tag at any time, allowing them to reflect changes in responsibilities or correct inaccuracies without needing approval from group admins.

Since tags are group-specific, they do not carry over to other chats.
