WhatsApp New Update Brings New Camera Icon & a Fix

Recently, WhatsApp has released a new Android beta update that carries the version number 2.19.328. The WhatsApp Android beta update brings minor design changes and an essential fix. The new Android beta update is coming to beta testers. It is available via the Google Play beta programme. Interestingly, the update comes with a change in the Instagram logo-like camera icon within the messaging app.

WhatsApp New Update Brings New Camera Icon & Voice Message Bug Fix

According to the WABetaInfo, the update is bringing the new camera icon inside the WhatsApp app. In the Status tab at the bottom right edge, the new camera icon is located. Other than that, Camera icon can also be seen in the Chat bar. WhatsApp replaced the camera icon with a more traditional camera logo.

It has also been reported by the WABetaInfo that latest beta update also brings a fix to a bug that crashed the app while listening to voice messages. However, the issue was not faced by the most users as it was affecting only some users. However, with a roll out of Android beta version 2.19.328, the fix is now available.

If you are willing to access the update, you can get it via the Google Play beta programme. In case you are not able to get registered at the moment then you can sideload the APK via a trusted source such as APK Mirror.

It is important to note that some users have also made the complaints that the WhatsApp Latest update is causing the draining of battery on Android phones.
