WhatsApp Latest Version Now Allows Users To Download Linked GIFs

WhatsApp keeps on introducing new features to make its app more user-friendly. A few days back, WhatsApp Latest Update for Android Brought PIP Mode for third-party Videos. However, this feature was already available for iOS users. This feature allowed the users to watch entire videos picture-in-picture inside a conversation. However, it doesn’t even try to load a preview before sending the image( JPG, PNG, GIF). Now WhatsApp latest version will allow the users to download linked GIFs before sending them.

WhatsApp Latest Version Will Offer To Download Animated Image Before Sending Linked GIFs

The new improvement will now allow all the users of the latest WhatsApp stable (2.18.306 – APK Mirror) and beta (2.18.312 – APK Mirror) to download the animated image before sending it. However, this feature is not valid for the other image and media formats like JPG, PNG, WEBP, WEBM, and MP. It only works for GIFs right now. It is expected that WhatsApp will make it work for other formats too in the future.

After downloading, the GIF opens in its own window. Moreover, you can do many changes. For example, you can tap to remove the link or insert your own caption. You can doodle, add text, emojis, stickers and much more to whatever you need to share. In the end, you just need to tap send and it will be shared with the person fully expanded.
Hopefully, this feature will be expanded for all images and media formats in the future. In addition to that, according to a Wall Street Journal report, WhatsApp will start showing adds in Status next year. The WhatsApp Status ads will be powered by native advertising system of Facebook. This new feature will help the business persons to promote their products on WhatsApp in the future.
