WhatsApp has launched a new feature for groups in order to create one-way broadcast communication streams. This new feature allows the owner/ admin of the group the real authority. They are the ones who can only send messages. This feature is similar to giving an authority to someone, giving them a megaphone for shouting at people. This WhatsApp new feature is amazing.
WhatsApp announced this feature on Friday, in a blog post:
“Today, we’re launching a new group setting where only admins are able to send messages to a group. “One way people use groups is to receive important announcements and information, including parents and teachers at schools, community centres, and non-profit organizations,”
This feature was much needed as some groups are made for awareness purposes where admin want to float some information and don’t want to receive back messages to avoid hustle. In this way group, admins will be able to streamline their communications.
