WhatsApp on Android Receives new Call Waiting Feature

One of the most popular messaging apps has been updated with a new and long-awaited feature: Call Waiting. Previously this feature was launched in chunks for iPhone users as a part of testing. However now the WhatsApp Call Waiting Feature is launched for everyone, be it Android or iOS. The call waiting feature is not new and we are already enjoying in on our mobile phone systems, but for VoIP services offered by WhatsApp, its something very new. This new feature facilitates users to jump to the new call at a time.

WhatsApp Call Waiting Feature Launches for Android User

WhatsApp is one of the most widely used apps throughout the world. Initially, the company has come up with the messaging feature but later on its VoIP calling feature gained so much popularity, that most of the users preferred calling through the app. As most of the contacts communicate via video calling feature, you will likely get more than one call at the same time.

So now, there will be a call waiting for a feature that will notify them about the new incoming call when they are already one another call. The user will be provided the name of the person calling him accompanies with the two more options: declining the call or hanging up the current call in order to answer the new one.

Here’s where the flaw and issue with this feature get started. It should have provided users with the ability to put one call on hold. For instance, you are talking to a friend and getting a call from your mother, so you can’t ask your friend to hold for 1 minute so that you can communicate with your mother.

But let’s accept the overall feature was much awaited and we can ignore this little flaw but at the same time, the Facebook-owned app needs to do something about it. If you have not received this feature, update your app from Google Play Store/
