WhatsApp Payments’ New Feature Let You Request Money On Android Beta

Here is an amazing feature recently rolled out by WhatsApp Payments. That will let users Request Money from their friends, contacts. WhatsApp Payments new feature is now available on Android beta. You will find ‘Request Money’ live on Android beta version of the app, while users on the regular version of Android might be not able to see it right now. Android beta 2.18.113 is supporting this new feature.

How to use or request money by using feature on WhatsApp beta for Android v2.18.113? That’s so simple, you have to visit Settings > Payments > New Payments and then select between To UPI ID and Scan QR code. After the verification of UPI or scan the QR code, and selection of a recipient, You will see a pop-up that provides you two options: Pay Money and Request Money.

The requests will automatically expire after 24 hours. This new feature was first spotted by Telecom Talk. They noticed that the feature is visible only on the WhatsApp beta on Android for a limited number of users.

Once when a request is accepted by the contact, the money will be credited to a bank account of users. WhatsApp is also providing a list of payment requests in the Payment Settings along with the status.

When the Payments feature on WhatsApp was launched, it faced the criticism at that time because it was not supporting all the features of UPI. Now the WhatsApp has started rolling out all these features. Recently, WhatsApp has also launched a new feature that allows you to download deleted media.
