This feature will allow users to update their status with a colourful background, font, and emoji combination. It is showing up in Android beta version 2.17.291. Not all users have get this update, only selected users can see this update right now. However soon it will be available for all users.

Just like Facebook, a floating pen icon in the WhatsApp Status tab will appear at the bottom of the screen, right above the camera icon. Clicking on the pen icon brings up the option to type a status, choose a font, emoji, and the background colour as well.

WhatsApp has introduced its status feature back in February which was first criticized. But later on, it got huge popularity. Now it has achieve more than 250 million daily active users in such a short span.

Recently, WhatsApp has introduced its most awaited feature for its users. Now WhatsApp Users can Share any File Type. Earlier users can only send audio, video files, documents, images and GIFs. But now users can send any file type using whatsApp.
