WhatsApp Sticker Apps Removed From App Store

A few days back,  we informed you that Whatsapp latest update has started support for stickers on Android & iOS. The company has released this new feature after months of testing it internally. Now it works without any issue. The rollout might be gradual so it will take a few days to hit your handset. However, now we came to know that WhatsApp Sticker Apps has been Removed From App Store.

WABetaInfo has reported that Apple has started deleting all WhatsApp Sticker apps from the App Store. The major reason behind this practice is that these apps are violating the company’s guidelines for developers.

WhatsApp Sticker Apps Removed From App Store

According to the WABetaInfo,  Apple has decided to remove WhatsApp Sticker apps just because of the reason that there are many apps with similar behaviour on the app store, many apps with a similar design. However, there is no official statement by Apple or WhatsApp about this activity which gives the confirmation of the above statement.

Designers were instructed to

“publish your sticker app like any other app on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and users who download and install your app will be able to start sending those stickers right from within WhatsApp.”

However, after this announcement, the Apple App Store started being flooded with these sticker apps, according to Gadgets 360.
