WhatsApp to Introduce ‘Group Privacy Blacklist’ Feature

We all know that Whatsapp is working to introduce the dark mode but along with that it is also secretly planning to roll out a new feature for its users, which is privacy-focused. WABetaInfo has reported that the WhatsApp could soon debut a “group privacy blacklist” feature. With the help of this feature users will be able to stop complete strangers to add you to the groups.

WhatsApp to Introduce ‘Group Privacy Blacklist’ Feature

Once you configure this setting, you will be able to choose who can add you to groups. You will privately get the invite if the admin could not add you to the group.

The WhatsApp feature leaker explains:

This will give users more control over their group membership, which, at present, can be granted by anyone to anyone.

You can access the new settings by heading to Account options within the settings menu. Go to Privacy, then Groups, and there you have to select who exactly can add you to a group. You will get to see three options there, such as Nobody, My Contacts, or Everyone.

This new feature will no doubt facilitate you to avoid strangers to add you to any unwanted group. I hope the feature is going to give all the users a huge relaxation.
