WhatsApp Web Picture in Picture mode- Here’s How to use it

People will be able to share videos via Picture-in-Picture mode for WhatsApp Web with support for Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram videos. Earlier this year, the PiP mode has been introduced to Android and iOS users and now it is available for all videos shared on the social networking app. This is a global launch and from today people will be able to enjoy it.

According to the report by WABetainfo, the PIP feature is rolling out with the latest 0.3.2041 app version. The users like me who like to use WhatsApp Web instead of using mobile will be very happy with this feature as now users will be able to watch YouTube video shared in a chat at the same time while browsing through other WhatsApp chats.

Here’s How the picture-in-picture feature works on WhatsApp Web:

  • To use the picture in picture feature in WhatsApp Web, send a YouTube video Link or some other video link
  • The other end user will get the preview will the link. It means if he will click on the link the video will start playing. When the user will change the chat, the video will continue to play in a bubble.
  • One would be able to stop video playing in PIP mode by Swiping it.

Moreover, Youtube Picture-In-Picture Mode Is Under Testing For Web Users.
