According to Lookout’s Mobile Threat Landscape Report 2024, iPhones are more susceptible to phishing attacks compared to Android devices. The report’s findings highlight a concerning trend, with 18.4% of iOS devices attacked by phishing attempts this year, compared to 11.4% of Android devices.

Lookout’s analysis is based on a massive dataset of 220 million devices and 360 million apps, making it one of the most comprehensive reports in the industry. Since 2019, the researchers have identified over 473 million phishing websites. Their findings indicate that iOS devices are more than twice as likely to be targeted than Android devices. During the first three quarters of 2024 alone, 19% of iPhones were exposed to at least one phishing attack, whereas only 10.9% of Android devices experienced similar threats.
