The former subsidiary of Qatar’s telecom giant Ooredoo, Wi-Tribe, revealed its strategy to hoard millions of dollars to extend its coverage extent in the second-tier cities through the country via disposition of innovative technologies.
Wi-Tribe to Expand Coverage Across Pakistan
“Millions of dollars will be required to upgrade our technology. Its exact cost will be determined after finalizing which technology we prefer for going ahead with expanding our coverage to more cities in Pakistan.”
Ali Fahd Malik, chief executive officer at Wi-Tribe, said while talking to The News.
Malik believed that demand for quality internet is rising manifold. Thus all the ISPs are requisite to meet the increasing demand for the data usage.
The company has not assured yet which technology it would select in its second phase of speculation. The ISP started its operation in the main cities of the country seven years ago. It has witnessed that the worth of service could guarantee devotion of consumers.
“We are providing services to over 150,000 households in major urban centers. Now we are planning to expand our coverage to Gujranwala, Gujrat, Peshawar and other cities in months and years ahead.”
HB Group, a native company partaking assorted range of dealings in Pakistan, UK and Middle East, attained Wi-Tribe Pakistan. It offered WiMax facilities from Ooredoo alongside nine million dollars.

The company’s investment verdict is to uphold an ideal level of service and online involvement.
“Through our spectrum upgrade, we are now delivering a bigger, better and faster internet experience to improve customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.”

Malik further added that company’s aim is to target broadband users using the facility at homes.
