Willem Hendrickx to lead Green IT Globe’s international expansion, the company disrupting the existing clouds in a way that will change IT

Green IT Globe is a technology-led initiative that brings the Internet cloud capacity closer to users and developers that are looking for affordable, efficient and innovative solutions to support their high-growth business models with future-proof IT and internet infrastructure.

Green IT Globe NV is building a decentralized and energy-efficient cloud that will radically change the industry. The company is planing to deploy  its cloud network in more than 20 countries, bringing cloud capacity close to the user rather than sourcing it from large, often overseas, datacenters.

As Co-founder Willem Hendrickx takes up the role of CEO of the company thing are expected to accelerate. He  was formerly part of Alcatel-Lucent, where he was President EMEA and responsible for all sales and operational activities in the region. He previously held several executive positions with distinguished global IT companies.

The founder of Green IT Globe, Kristof De Spiegeleer expressed his delighted on the decision stating:

“Since 2000 we have been innovating the datacenter world. Now we are about to radically change the way clouds are deployed. The time is right to establish a European cloud but in a decentralized, efficient way: creating a grid”

Willem Hendrickx also expressed his commitment and assurance to be an active part of the company:

SG Technical (Pvt) Limited being led by Osman Asghar Khan is the official representative of Green IT Globe in Pakistan. The owners of  SG Technical also pioneered in establishing Pakistan’s first GSM cellular Network Mobilink.

Green IT Globe will be present at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (22-25 Feb) to meet up with the world’s industry leaders.
