In Pakistan women faces problems in almost every field while doing job. Similar is the case with establishing themselves as a successful entrepreneur. They face twice the hurdles a man faces. In order to establish an annual platform to promote, support and engage female entrepreneurs, Change Mechanics and Get Organized to Achieve & Lead (GOAL) is arranging a one day Women Entrepreneurship Conference (WECON’17) on 11th March, 2017. TiE Islamabad, Plan9, Jang Media Group, WECREATE Pakistan and OPEN Islamabad will be the partners for the event.

It will be a unique gathering of policy makers, enablers and iconic women entrepreneurs. They will discuss the challenges, opportunities and way forward to create an enabling environment for women entrepreneurs.

Change Mechanics & GOAL to Organize Women Entrepreneurship Conference (WECON’17)

Objectives:

The objectives of the conference are as follows:

1. To institute an annual platform promoting, engaging and supporting the female entrepreneurs of Pakistan.
2. Building a feasible and continuous ecosystem, mentor network and marketplace.
3. Encouraging participation of young females from higher education institutions in entrepreneurial activities.
4. Observing and learning from iconic women entrepreneurs.

The Conference will be Held at Islamabad on 11th March 2017

• Videos: Showcasing Amazing Women Entrepreneurs
• Mentoring and Networking
• Campus Drive in universities

Panel Discussions:

WECON’17 will host three panel sessions which are as follows:

Create:

Discussions under Create will focus on bringing together the existing support networks and mentors. So that an enabling environment for women entrepreneurs can be made.

Cultivate:

From startup incubators to all the enablers of startup ecosystems; all of them will be a part of the Cultivate discussions to create awareness of the opportunities present for women led startups.

Celebrate:

Nothing is more inspiring than getting to know the success stories. Celebrate will be committed on exhibiting the success stories of the heartening women entrepreneurs that faced all hurdles and succeeded.

Audience:

The audience will include the entire kit and cluster from aspiring women entrepreneurs to entrepreneurial ecosystem builders to university students & faculty members. Mentors, investors, and govt. officials will be there at the conference as well.
