The company that makes professional digital cameras for shooting Hollywood movies, RED, is making this holographic phone. Moreover, the company has named this smartphone, Hydrogen.

The phone has 5.7-inch large screen. Moreover it runs Android, and is available for pre-orders in two tiers. It costs $1,595 for the “Titanium” high-end version and $1,195 for the “Aluminum” slightly lower-end version. According to the company, the phone will ship in Q1 2018.

The interesting thing about this phone is that, it doesn’t require glasses to see the supposed holograms. According to the company, the screen is capable of displaying holographic RED hydrogen 4-view content (H4V), stereo 3D content and 2D/3D VR, AR (augmented reality) and MR (mixed reality).
RED founder Jim Jannard says
“there is no good way to describe it until you see it.”
He also writes that
“our display is technology you haven’t seen before. It is not lenticular, which is inferior tech in every way, has been tried many times before and failed for good reason. (see Amazon 3D Fire, LG Optimus, etc).”
Hydrogen has a headphone jack, USB-C port and a big camera at the back and a prominent red-colored record button. Moreover, it has High-quality audio that can convert stereo sound into multi-dimensional audio. However, the company has not revealed any information like Storage, RAM or camera.
