Xiaomi Foldable Phone Might Be Cheapest Device Ever

Samsung, Huawei and LG are currently working on the foldable devices. Huawei will be reportedly the world’s first foldable smartphone, followed by Samsung. However, according to new reports, these may not be the only upcoming foldable devices. The reports say that Xiaomi has reportedly begun working on its own foldable smartphone design and it is expecting that Xiaomi foldable phone might be cheapest device ever.

Xiaomi Foldable Phone Will be Cheapest Device than Samsung

Huawei and Samsung are reportedly working on in-folding designs but Xiaomi’s variant will fold outwards, a compact design that has the potential of expanding the display surface significantly. It is not clear that how the Chinese company will choose to price the smartphone. However, Xiaomi has committed to a maximum profit margin of 5% on its smartphones, which suggests that its device would be cheaper than Samsung as it’s offering could cost nearly $2,000.

Moreover, another Chinese company reportedly working the production of its own foldable smartphone is Oppo. The exact time frame has not been provided by company yet.

According to ET Times, Huawei and Samsung reportedly lead the charge when it comes to developing a foldable phone, but it looks like Xiaomi and Oppo have joined the race

There is also no information about the design of Oppo foldaable device.
