Xiaomi Foldable Phone to launch in Q2 2019
Samsung and Huawei have launched their foldable phones back in February. Now Xiaomi is also ready to launch its foldable smartphone in Q2. Samsung and Huawei have foldable phones with a different design. However, both smartphones have high prices. It means not all people can afford it. But Xiaomi has thought in this regard. Xiaomi foldable phone will cost half of the Galaxy Fold X.

According to a report by iGyaan, Xiaomi’s foldable smartphone will cost around $999 in the US, €999 in Europe. The company plans to launch the phone sometime between April and June. The phone will first launch in China and then it will be available in other markets as well.
The report further states that Mi Fold/Flex will use OLED displays made by Visionox Technology as per its requirements. It remains to be seen if these will be as good as the OLED panels on Galaxy Fold and Mate X.
Xiaomi foldable device doesn’t fold totally closed instead it folds backward and has two creases. It seems that the display might have a 3:2 aspect ratio. There is a power button on the top of the device when held in portrait orientation. As the screen is folded back, the whole display still stays on. A video showing this phone in action surfaced back in January. You can check it out below.
