Xiaomi Mi 8 Latest Update Brings Night Mode & 960fps Slo-mo

The global MIUI 10.1.2.0 update is rolling out to the Xiaomi Mi 8 right now. In addition to that, the Explorer version is also receiving this update. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Latest Update has brought some camera features for the users. Xiaomi has added Super Night Scene and 960fps super slow motion video feature in this latest update.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Latest Update Rolls Out To The Users

The firmware weighs 288MB and it has brought Night Mode and 960fps slow motion video recording feature. Both of these features were premiered with the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 at the end of October. Super Night Scene has the capability to capture almost 8 photos at different exposures. After that, it can merge them into a brighter shot. On the other hand, Xiaomi Mi 8 was only able to capture up to 240fps slow-mo. However, now it can capture up to 960fps slow-mo after this update.

As per specs, Mi 8 sport 6.01-inch display. It features an Under-display fingerprint sensor. Mi 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC. Furthermore, it is available in two RAM storage variants that are 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage and 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage. It comes with AI camera with 2x optical zoom support. The handset sports a structured light 3D module for facial scanning. On the other hand, Mi 8 Explorer has 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage. It is encased with two 12 MP rear cameras and a 20 MP selfie snapper. The battery of the smartphone is 3,000 mAh and is charged with a USB-C that is also used for sound output as Xiaomi excluded the 3.5 mm audio jack from its Mi flagships in 2017. It comes with display scanner, 3D Face Unlock, Dual GPS and nice transparent back panel.
