The very first specs of the device appeared on Weibo, showing Mi 8 Youth will have a 6.26” tall display and Snapdragon 710.

According to the specs sheet, Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth has the following specs:

2. A notch on top.
3. The Qualcomm chipset will be coupled by 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage
4. The Mi 8 Youth will arrive with a dual camera with a primary sensor of 12 MP.
5. The secondary could be 2 MP or 5 MPe
6. The selfie shooter will have an impressive 24 MP sensor
7. The battery is listed as 3,350 mAh
8. Quick Charge 3.0 will likely be on board
9. The phone will have MIUI 9.6, based on Android Oreo, out of the box.

Basically, Mi 8 Youth will be targeted to young people who like to take selfies.
