The update is rolling out in India right now. However, it will make its way to all the phones in phases. The new Android Pie Update will bring the new gesture navigation, Adaptive battery, brightness, and other improvements. It will also include the November security patch.
Mi A2 is actually the Android One certified global variant of the Mi 6X. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo and features a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM. The camera setup includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 20-megapixel secondary sensor. It has a 20-megapixel sensor on the front with artificial intelligence (AI) backed features. It has a 3010mAh battery.
On the other hand, The Mi A2 Lite supports a 5.84-inch full-HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, paired with 3GB RAM. The smartphone has a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor within its dual rear camera setup and a 5-megapixel front camera sensor. It comes with a 4000mAh battery.
The update is rolling out for Mi A2 right now and the lighter version is running behind. The lighter version started Beta test a few days back. Furthermore, the update is just over 1GB for the Mi A2. Let’s see when will the light version receive the Android Pie Update.
