These Are The Xiaomi Phones Getting Android 9 Pie

We all know that many of the smartphone companies are rolling out Android 9 Pie Update to their smartphones in phases. The reason is that it is one of the Major Updates that has brought an improved user experience. Recently, Xiaomi has announced that some of their phones are soon going to get the latest Android 9 Pie Update. For that purpose, the company has provided a list of all the Xiaomi Phones which will be getting the Android 9 Pie Update together with the timeline.

The Xiaomi Phones Getting Android Pie Update At the End Of This Year Are Mi 8 Pro, Mi 8 SE, & Mi Max 3

The company has provided a list about the phones which will get Android Oreo Update as well as about the phones that will receive Android 9 Pie Update. Let’s have a look at that:

It is quite clear from the list that the majority of the phones will get Android Oreo Update and a few smartphones will receive the 9 Pie update only. We all know that Xiaomi Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi 6, Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, Mi 8 Lite, Mi 8 Explorer Edition, Mi 8 Pro, Mi MIX, Mi MIX 2, Mi Note 2, and Mi Note 3 are already running Android 8.0 Oreo. So, only the Redmi 5, Redmi 5A, Redmi 5 Plus, and Redmi 5X will receive the Android Oreo update at the end of this year.
On the other hand, we know that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, Mi 8, and Mi 8 Explorer Edition already have Android 9.0 Pie. Xiaomi launched these smartphones with the latest version of Android. So, only three smartphones that are the Mi 8 Pro, Mi 8 SE, and Mi Max 3 will get Android 9 Pie Update at the end of this year. However, it will not be possible for the company to roll out these updates for older phones so they are expected to get the MIUI updates.
