According to leaks, the device will sport a 5-inch, Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) curved glass display and would run MIUI 9, based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, out of the box. As per as its cameras are concerned, it will have a 16 MP back camera with a dual-tone LED flash and phase detection autofocus. Moreover, the front camera will have 5 MP resolution to capture your fun moments.

According to rumors, Redmi 5 will have a 3,680 mAh capacity. For more security, the handset would also come with a fingerprint scanner. Moreover, the phone will come in different variants

Here are expected variants of this phone with expected price:

• Snapdragon 625 version
  • 3 GB RAM + 16 GB storage version start at 859 yuan (~$125 / Rs. 13000)
  • 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage version of it is said to cost 1039 yuan (~$155 / Rs. 16000)
• Snapdragon 630 version
  • 3 GB RAM + 32 GB storage, 1099 yuan (~$160 / Rs. 17,000)
  • 4 GB RAM + 32 GB storage 1199 yuan (~$175 / Rs. 18,500)
  • 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage 1299 yuan (~$190 / Rs. 20,000)

However, the Redmi 5 will hit the market in Q3 2017 or early Q4. Once Xiaomi releases any information regarding this phone, we will update you soon.
