Xiaomi Redmi K20 Will Boast Game Turbo 2.0 & DC Dimming Feature

Xiaomi Redmi K20 has been in the pipeline of rumors since last month. We had been getting a lot of teasers regarding the upcoming flagship Killer on a daily basis. The Flagship Killer by Xiaomi is all set to give a tough competition to its rivals. Recently, a new teaser poster showed up hinting that the handset will come with Gaming Turbo 2.0.

Xiaomi Redmi K20 Will Launch On May 28

The latest teaser clearly shows that the upcoming flagship will come with Gaming Turbo 2.0. However, there had been no words about how much of a performance boost it will offer while gaming.  According to the latest reports, we have come to know that the company’s General Manager Lu Weibing stated that it will let you reply to messages while playing games without any delay. Let’s have a look at the poster.

In addition to that, we know that AMOLED display panels flicker at low brightness settings. This is all due to the use of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to control the screen brightness. In order to sort out the issue, Redmi will use the DC Dimming feature on the K20. Furthermore, the upcoming handset will sport a fingerprint scanner that will be equipped with a 3P lens and will have 7.2μm ultra-large pixels. It will boast a 100% higher photo-sensitive area and 30% more accuracy than the previous generation scanner. The best part is that the fingerprint scanning area of the handset will also see an increase of 15%.

According to previous reports, the flagship device will feature a 6.39-inch OLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Moreover, It will come with a pop-up 20MP camera with f/2.0 aperture together with the main cameras including a 48MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture and 1.6-micron sized pixels. The smartphone will sport a 4,000 mAh battery cell to keep the lights on. The K20 color options include Carbon Black, Glacier Blue, and Flame Red. The flagship Killer will see the light on May 28.

  1. So many new phones with DC dimming! This is great news! No Samsung yet because they don’t care about people’s health when using their phones. They would rather have people experience seizures and brain fog and eye pain. People have only been complaining for over 10 years now.
