The feature will show users the total amount of time they spent per day on the Facebook app over the previous seven days. Furthermore, they can also get the average time spent per day. The new “Your time on Facebook” feature will allow users to set up notifications to let them know when they reach a certain amount of time spent in the app.

Facebook is not the only tech company working on features to help users manage how they spend their time in apps. In May, Instagram confirmed it was working on tools to help users know more about how they spent time on its service. Furthermore, YouTube has already added an option on its mobile app for users to set notifications to remind them to take some time off.
