YouTube Adds Messaging Feature to its Smartphone App

YouTube is a worldwide video-sharing website. The site permits users to upload, view, rate, share, and comment on videos. It has already introduced many interesting features. Now YouTube is experimenting a messaging feature in its smartphone app so that individuals can share and deliberate videos without retreating to other means to interact with their friends and family.

The messaging option was announced on Friday. At first the newly introduced messaging option is only being presented to a small set of people with YouTube’s app installed on an iPhone or device running on Google’s Android software. If the messaging option remains successful it will be included in a future app upgrade accessible to everyone with an iPhone or an Android phone.

A part of Alphabet’s Google, YouTube, is probing whether the messaging feature will boost its viewers to devote even more time inside its widespread video app. Presently, people usually copy links to YouTube and paste them into other messaging apps like Snapchat, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp.
