YouTube to Open its Content Creator Hotspot Facility in Dubai. The American video-sharing website, YouTube has decided to open its tenth space in Dubai. It is already enjoying its success in the MENA and UAE region.

YouTube, the Google own company has extended its business from funny cat video, to a broadcaster in its own right – making high-quality shows that range from anything such as fitness experts uploading their fitness regimes to cooking fanatics sharing their recipes for delicious meals.

Now Dubai will have its own YouTube hi-tech studio which will be operational next year. It follows on from the achievement of a content creator service which was set up in London. The decision by the management to choose Dubai signifies just how fruitful YouTube is in the MENA region.

According to a YouTube spokesman, the MENA region is second when it comes to the amount of time spent watching videos. It has increased by 60% in the region.

The MENA region also has one of the maximum smartphone and internet penetration in the world. The mobile watch time has increased by 90% in the Middle East during the past 12 months. While advocates are also becoming savvy to its marketing potential with the best twenty brands in the Middle East using the platform to market its products and services, increasing its spending by 65% in the process.

The Head of YouTube partnerships in MENA, Diana Baddar informed that:

“The MENA region has one of the world’s most vibrant YouTube communities. There’s tons of excitement around YouTube because talented creators are producing content for passionate audiences. It’s a great opportunity for brands because on YouTube people choose what they want to watch. And what they want to engage with, which is more interesting for brands. More and more creators are collaborating with brands.”

The 2017 takeoff of the new content creator service in Dubai will lift what YouTube calls the ‘creator ecology’ by offering creators with conveniences and technical assistance. And by providing them a base from where they can network and cooperate with other creators, meet clients, spark new ideas and join workshops.
