The company said in a blog post:

“We recognize that comments are a core part of the YouTube experience and how you connect with and grow your audience. At the same time, the important steps we’re sharing today are critical for keeping young people safe.”

YouTube took this action just after two weeks when a video blogger highlighted how this platform had enabled what he called a “soft-core pedophile ring.” The pedophiles have miss used YouTube’s comments system in so many times.

Recently, YouTube was also targeted by members of Congress that this social platform is not doing enough to deal with abusive content. However, YouTube has struggled a lot to monitor and remove problematic content from its huge platform. The recent move taken by YouTube is appreciable and will encourage its users to upload the videos of their kids without any hesitation.
