Zoho corporation was founded in 1996 by Sridhar Vembu from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. The best thing about Zoho corporation which is catering global customers is that it recruits school graduates or college dropouts which cannot get jobs in other reputable companies due to less education. Zoho research platform Tofler announced that the company earned Rs. 1557 Crore in revenue in 2016.

The most interesting thing about Zoho is that it do not believe to hire from top ranked tech institutes. Instead they train college dropouts through their Zoho University initiative and turn them to high tech Software engineers. Later on these software engineers are hired in Zoho Corporation at high salaries same as given to engineering graduates.

Rajendran Dandapani, Zoho Official told:

Zoho University was born 12 years ago because we found that there wasn’t much that these vaunted engineers were bringing to the table. We couldn’t blame them either. The problem seemed to lie in the system, the context-less education they were getting, on irrelevant subjects based on obsolete curricula.

Students are taught English, Maths, Software Engineering and programming languages at Zoho University. The company revealed that they have trained around 500 students and 100 students are currently enrolled.

When students are done with degrees, they are assigned to Zoho teams for internship program. Good performers are hired through this program. Zoho claims that out of 4500 strong workforce, many are from Zoho university and 30 of them are in leadership roles.
