Liu succeeds Dr Fan YunJun, who will be moving back to CMCC to pursue a new role with the company.
Zong Appoints Liu DianFeng as New Chairman and CEO
Dr. YunJun was appointed Zong’s CEO in 2011. During his tenure, the telecom operator saw tremendous growth in terms of subscriber base. Zong has taken over number three spots within the industry and is recognised as a technology leader in the country.
Liu earned an Executive MBA programme from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, Asia’s leading business school. He received his masters’ degree from the graduate school, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
