Zong Launches Z-Wallet Inside My Zong App for Digital Banking Services

Zong has partnered with Zindigi, powered by JS Bank, to launch Z-Wallet, bringing regulated digital financial services directly into the My Zong app through an embedded-finance model.
The service uses Zindigi’s Banking-as-a-Service infrastructure and operates under the regulatory framework of the State Bank of Pakistan.
Through the integration, My Zong App users can access basic banking and payment services without downloading or switching to a separate banking application.
With more than 22 million monthly active users, the app provides the partnership with a sizeable existing customer base for the rollout of digital financial services.
Z-Wallet combines Zong’s digital platform and customer reach with Zindigi’s banking infrastructure and financial-technology capabilities.
RAAST Transfers, Bills, and Top-Ups
Customers can use Z-Wallet for interbank transfers through RAAST, allowing funds to be sent to bank accounts across Pakistan.
The service also includes utility and internet bill payments and mobile top-ups through a single login and PIN within the My Zong app.
Further features are planned as the service expands.
These are expected to include nano lending, a Z-Debit Card, and specialized Zong bundles, potentially turning the wallet into a broader financial-services ecosystem within the telecom operator’s main consumer application.
For Zong, the launch also reflects its wider strategy of expanding beyond traditional telecommunications services and positioning itself as a technology-services company.
The embedded-finance approach allows financial products to be incorporated directly into a platform customers already use, rather than requiring them to adopt a separate banking interface.
For Zindigi, the partnership provides an additional distribution channel for regulated digital banking services through Zong’s large mobile-user base.
The launch comes as digital payments and financial inclusion continue to expand across Pakistan, with banks, fintech companies, and telecom operators increasingly competing to integrate payments, transfers, and other financial services into everyday digital platforms.
