Zuckerberg to Take Action to Tackle Hoax on Facebook. He stated that the spread of fake news didn’t affect the US election and Facebook will soon announce new ways to tackle such hoax news.

He wrote:

“Of all the content on Facebook, more than 99% of what people see is authentic. Only a very small amount is fake news and hoaxes. The hoaxes that do exist are not limited to one partisan view, or even to politics. Overall, this makes it extremely unlikely hoaxes changed the outcome of this election in one direction or the other.”

He said that identifying the truth is very difficult. Zuckerberg defensively claimed that Facebook’s fake news problem is minor and not party-specific. He said that he don’t want any fake news on this social platform. The purpose of Facebook is too show meaningful information to people and correct news.

The 32-year-old billionaire also said that more than 99 percent of news shared on Facebook was authentic. According to him, he is proud giving people the right of speech in the election.
