After the Mate 7 Ascend, it was expected that HUAWEI MATE 8 will recompense, demonstrate development and will give statement to its predecessor’s shortcomings, most stunningly the poor graphics performance and the less than stellar camera output.

After dropping the ascend badge, Mate 8 still offers all those key advantages that could be in Mate 7.Mate 8 developed with Kirin 950 chipset and brings out the lots of CPU liveliness. The camera is totally new as well with phase detection, autofocus, higher re sensor and image stabilization. Although Mate 7 was a best device but restatement is even more outstanding. The Mate 8 has supreme high end ambience. It has precision-machined metal and glass mechanisms with sharper and bolder edges. With the new looks and some new advanced feature few things have not changed like display is still 1080p while the competition has moved to QHD resolution on even smaller diagonals.

There is no tradeoff in battery life, because HUAWEI again placed a large battery. Fingerprint reader and Always-On feature implementation looks nice as ever. There should be little complain for the 6 inch display and solid heavy body of Mate 8. Like Mate 7, Mate 8 also cannot record 4k video while it has plenty powerful chipset that has the capability to run 60fps at 4k.The 60fps at 1080p is little comfort for such powerful chipset. Design and Display of HUAWEI MATE 8:

The Huawei Mate 8 is one of the good-looking smart phone. It undoubtedly means professional. The Huawei Mate 8 has resolution of 157.1 x 80.6 x 7.9 mm which is very compact for a 6 inch display smartphone. The Mate 8 has 185g in weight which give the combination of battery capacity, metal body and the display diagonal. Its color is very much the same as one of the actual metal. It has aluminum unibody, well appropriate and its back has fine satin finish.

It is fingerprint friendly, having no stretch and you can rare see the mark when you hold it up direct to the light. It has antenna bands on top and bottom that are less worrying. On the back side, there are two circular elements, camera lens with LED light and fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint sensor is slightly lower and this is enough depth to immediately identifiable. On the front, the area is dominated with the 6 inch display with a thin black frame. There are the speaker and USB port underneath. The forehead of the front screen packed with earpiece and the 8MP front camera, ambient light and proximity sensors. On the far left there is an LED notification light. The right side has power button and volume keys. On the left, there Is only the card slot. The SIM jacket can take two nano-SIM or a microSD cards but not all at once. It also a standard design like other smartphones. On the top, there is 3.5mm audio jack and the secondary microphone. Due to the design of the Mate 8, sometime you have to utilize both the hands to handle the phone.The Mate 8 used IPS NEO LCD display that is better than IPS LCD display.

The Huawei Mate 8 is powered by Kirin 950 chipset constructed by HiSilicon. It is using Mali-T880 GPU in MP4 configuration. Like Mate 7, Mate 8 has no issue on the graphics. The Kirin 950 comes with a dual Quad cores. This chip is built with 16nm production with the benefit in power efficiency. The Mate 8 is using Quad core 2.3 GHz Cortex A72 and Quad Core 1.8 GHz Cortex A53 that make it more powerful with the combo of the chipset. The Huawei Mate 8 runs on the latest android version 6.0 Marshmallow that is compatible with Huawei’s own EmotionUI skinned mildly. There are a lot of stuff when you turned on the lock. When you turn on the screen it starts with a new alternate cover image every time. You have received a lot of different wallpapers. You can set your own choice image on the lock screen.

When you use fingerprint sensor, it will take you directly to the home screen. You also have different home screen style in the Mate 8.While turning on the phone with power button will show you a clock with the calendar and the camera shortcut. Camera can be start by double clicking the volume down key. In Mate 8, you have Mirror share feature, Gloves mode, Touch disable mode, Motion control and One-Hand UI etc. The notification has two modes. Similarly, there are a lot of different function in this interface that make its use very easy and comfortable.
