Oppo A60 Goes Official: Check Out Its Specs!

OPPO silently unveiled a new A-series model in Vietnam. The highly anticipated Oppo A60 surfaced in the Google Play Console earlier this month. However, today it quietly made its debut in Vietnam. The smartphone is expected to hit more markets in the coming weeks. Despite what its name implies, the all-new budget phone is not a successor to the A59 from December 2023. It is because the A59 supports 5G while the A60 doesn’t. It means that the newly launched Oppo phone is the successor to the A58 4G from July 2023. It is pertinent to mention that most of the A60 specs are the same as its predecessor.

Oppo Launches A New Entry-Level Phone ‘Oppo A60’

The new entry-level phone boasts a Snapdragon 680 processor. It is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. For all those unaware, its predecessor used eMMC 5.1 storage. It is pertinent to mention that Snapdragon 680’s performance resembles the A58’s Helio G85. However, this processor is better when it comes to battery life.

The A60 comes with the same 5000mAh battery with the support of 45w wired charging. Moreover, it is tipped to be faster than OPPO’s older 33w charging used on different A series phones. As per the camera department, the number of cameras remains the same as the A58: 50-megapixel main, 2-megapixel depth, and 8-megapixel selfie. However, the A60 gets a lower-resolution display at HD+, a 90hz refresh rate, and a stereo speaker setup and headphone jack.

The A60 runs Android 14-based ColorOS 14.0.1 straight out of the box. Furthermore, it boasts an IP54 rating and uses a design language similar to the Reno11 F. Oppo launched two variants of the phone in Vietnam. Oppo A60 Price for both variants is mentioned as follows:

• 8GB/128GB – VND 5,490,000(~Php 13k)
• 8GB/256GB – VND 6,490,000(~Php 15k)

There have been no words regarding the availability of the smartphone in the other markets yet. Moreover, enthusiasts anticipate Oppo to officially provide information about its availability in other markets in the coming days. Stay tuned for more updates.
