Skype for Windows 8
Skype for Windows 8
Microsoft will release Windows 8 on 26th October; we are hoping to have Skype on it. A year back Microsoft bombed out $8.5 billion for the VoIP client, Skype is finally getting fully integrated into Windows 8.
Skype has acknowledged a bit of a face lift in the new app, featuring the new Windows 8 with large typography and monotone background colors. This simpler version of Skype has a “Modern” UI design language, which also allows users to always be online without having to remember to turn the app on, and without having the app sucking up your battery.
Bringing Skype to a new platform is always both an opportunity and an adventure. Microsoft said that this release is only the beginning, and it will continue to update the Skype app over the coming months through the Windows Store, improving the experience adding new features and capabilities.
Skype for Windows 8 will be available on October 26. You can find it on your new Windows 8 device.
You can also download it from the Windows Store
