How PTA’s Financial Control Portal Will Increase Work Flow Efficiency

Gone are days when Government Offices in Pakistan were slashed for highly slow workflow. Now all Government organisations including PTA are incorporating new means of technology to increase their workflow efficiency i.e; PTA’s Financial Control Portal.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority plans to develop a Financial Control Portal. It will replace the current system for improving core tracking and workflow efficiencies. The financial Control Portal will be prepared by developers who will deploy and maintain it. It is indeed a complete turnkey solution in the English language for the authority.

In this regard, PTA has sought Request for Proposal (RFP) from consultant firms for development of FCP. The RFP must reach at PTA on or before 10.00 a.m. on September 25, 2018.

Official sources at PTA said that:

a comprehensive database management solution of international quality is required to provide controlled access to admins and employees along with a contact point to consumers as well.

The Financial Control Portal will be based in headquarter but will be integrated with zonal offices in at Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Multan, Muzaffarabad and Gilgit.

How PTA’s Financial Control Portal Will Increase Work Flow Efficiency

The financial Control portal will help consumers to file their application for a new resource. Previously it was totally manual so it will save a lot of time. The consumer will also be able to track their application and enter data in PTA database.

Employees of PTA will be given access to entering records and would also be able to attach a Word/Excel/PDF document. Moreover, updates will only be done by admins or authorized officers of the division.

Users will be able to issue demand note and reminder which will for sure increase workflow. One would also be able to generate reports and record book payment in the system when received.

The best thing about this system is that it will be able to check errors and will also monitor the data entered at the same time.

The system behind the Portal would have to be integrated with another system, especially internal communication module, for real-time data transfer in the desired format. The system would be implemented on Secure Socket Link (SSL) and only authenticated users would be allowed to access the system as per their defined rights and privileges.

PTA selected officers will be admins and they will have access to the system via secure logins and will be allowed to perform the tasks including Data Input, Data Modification and Data Reporting.
