Google Pixel 8a Leaks Reveal Large Bezels

Google’s highly anticipated Pixel 8a has been the subject of numerous leaks recently, giving eager fans a glimpse into what to expect from the tech giant’s latest offering. Just days ago, a detailed spec sheet surfaced, closely followed by another leak. Even Google itself may have inadvertently unveiled the Pixel 8a in an advertisement for a US carrier last week.

Adding to the frenzy, new phone images have emerged, showcasing both its front and back in what is likely to be called the Obsidian colour variant, following Google’s naming convention for black hues.

The rear view of the phone aligns with expectations, featuring the signature camera ‘visor’ spanning the width of the frame, housing two sensors and a circular LED flash array, adorned with minimal G branding.

On the front, however, you will see the screen’s bezels, which appear relatively large, particularly the chin, considering the device’s price point. While compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 7a, the bezels are not egregious, some European and Asian competitors offer models with slimmer bezels.

Notable design changes include more rounded corners, lending a fresh aesthetic to the Pixel 8a. In addition to the Obsidian colour, the Pixel 8a will also be available in Porcelain (white) and Bay (blue) variants.

Under the hood, the Pixel 8a will also feature Google’s Tensor G3 chipset, delivering enhanced performance and efficiency. Users can anticipate a vibrant 6.1-inch 120 Hz OLED display, offering smooth visuals and immersive viewing experiences. Storage options are likely to include 128GB or 256GB capacities.
