MediaTek 9300+ Launch Date Is Tipped To Be May 7

Boxiao Han, a product manager at Vivo recently confirmed the existence of the vivo X100s, a forthcoming smartphone from the company. According to the reports, the device will be powered by a Dimensity 9300+ chipset, indicating a high-performance processing capability. Moreover, the chipset will feature an upgraded Cortex-X4 core, boasting a frequency of 3.4 GHz, signifying improved processing speeds. No specific date was given regarding the launch of this highly anticipated handset. Nevertheless, we now have a good candidate-  MediaTek officially announced that the 9300+ will be unveiled on May 7. It hints that the Vivo X100s along with the MediaTek 9300+ will make their debut next Tuesday.

There have been no official words regarding the launch from Vivo yet. The chipset may come ahead of the phone. Anyhow, these are all anticipations. Let’s wait and watch until some official news pops up. All we know is that the chipset will boast AI functionality. The highlight of the new chipset is AI as the ‘theme of the conference’ is “AI for Everything”.

Earlier today, a huge leak showing the changes from the original Dimensity 9300 to the Plus model surfaced online. As per reports, the upcoming MediaTek chipset will offer a higher CPU performance as the prime Cortex-X4 core runs at 3.4 GHz (up from 3.25GHz). The other three X4 cores will remain at 2.85GHz and the four A720 cores at 2.0GHz. The 9300 already has an “APU- AI Processing Unit”. There are no details about it yet, but probably, that will get a boost too, not just the CPU.

MediaTek seems to be putting the finishing touches on the next-gen flagship chipset, the Dimensity 9400. It is anticipated to be ready in the final quarter of this year. According to leaks, the chip will boast a 3nm TSMC node (N3E). Moreover, it will switch the prime core to a Cortex-X5 (with the other cores remaining the same, i.e. 3x X4 and 4x A720). Early benchmarks of the chipset reveal that it will be a tough competitor to Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in multi-core (but not single-core) Geekbench and AnTuTu. The 9400 will also come with improved AI performance.
