In a recent development, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) asked young digital artists to showcase their talent in digital art and get a chance to win the ECO Youth Award with a $1000 cash prize. Criteria For ECO Youth Award

According to the details, the ECO Youth Award will celebrate Young Talent in the ECO Region. All young digital artists can submit their entries for the award, celebrating the best in digital art and graphic design from the rich ECO member states. It is pertinent to mention that their designs should be original and creative. The design should effectively communicate a message and contribute to the culture and heritage of the ECO region, recalling its diverse and rich traditions. The age limit of the candidate should be between 18 to 30 years.

The call for nominations will be published on the ECOCI website to identify the ECO’s top youth. Moreover, the Ministry of Culture of each ECO member state will nominate a maximum of three persons. After that, the Award Committee, including the Cultural Attachés of ECO member states in Tehran, will judge and select one winner from each country. The selection of the top three candidates in the ten member countries will be assigned to the Ministries of Culture and the corresponding organizations, to be finalized by the Award Committee in Tehran which is consistent with Cultural Attachés / representatives nominated by each member country. The Committee will select one top youth from the three nominations of each member state. The nominee will be presented the ECO Award during a hybrid ceremony on ECO Day / ECOCI Day.

The nominations will be made using a registration form available on the ECOCI website at least three months in advance. The ECOCI member states will consider applications within two weeks and report to the ECO Cultural Institute a shortlist of three nominations in the selected category along with their CV.

The ECO Youth Award initiative has been developed to expand relations among the people in the ECO region. Youth has been a major driving force for the ECO countries’ development. ECOCI Youth Award initiative aims to discover young talent to pave the way to popularize the ECO Cultural Institute further. The proposal focuses on a preplanned and constructive competition within each member country to introduce the talented nominees.

The ECOCI Youth Award will be presented to people between 18 to 30 years of age with remarkable contributions or achievements demonstrated by substantial results in research projects/arts (preferably regional) / sociability/culture/sports; especially, the achievements that may contribute to the objectives of Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO)/ ECO Cultural Institute (ECOCI).
